Default networking question HELP!

hi, i was wondering is it possible to download files on one computer but have the files save to another computers hard drive? if so how would i set it up, i have a laptop with a netgear WAG511 wireless adapter and a desktop pc connecting to a Netgear DG834G V2.

This might work in this scenario: PC1 is your main pc - PC2 is the hard drive you want to save to. Share the drive on PC2. On PC1, map the drive. Then when you want to save items from in the internet or whatever, browse to the mapped drive and download.
