ok never mind. was just a thought. i can now control my old pc from my new one and vise versa. is a bit slow but im sure it will come in useful.

Offices and other LAN's that have what you are looking for have servers that store everyones files, settings and accounts. That is why you cannot do what they do; you would need a server. In an office, it is not as if your account is on every single pc, but rather just the server, which any PC can access. This is quite expensive and not suitable for a home environment.

thats what i wanted but thought there would be some cheap not as good way to do it without a server
