Default My Home Network

Small update to this setup. Iíve replaced the upstairs gigabit switch with a 5th generation AirPort Extreme. Just because really. Found one dirt cheap so Iíve disabled itís wireless AP and Iím just using it as a gigabit switch. But now at least I can manage it, and it shows up in the AirPort Utility app.

Iíll post up a screen grab of the network map for those interested later.

Why do you want to rename them?

Just seems a bit boring leaving them named like that. Seen other people use Starship names or Greek Gods. I need inspiration!

I know! You should use the original food pyramid. Here:

Apple has released an AirPort Utility app update today. Good to see theyíre still supporting it, despite closing down their AirPlay hardware division last year.

They also released a firmware update for the AirPort Express last week, adding Airplay 2 functionality to it.
