Default LinkSys WRT120N router issue

I got a good one for ya.

I found an old router while moving some stuff around tonight. I hooked it up and it would not let me in to program it. I went online and look around at several suggestions. One said he could get in on his tablet but not on his desk or lappy.
I switched on the WiFi on my tablet and sure enough I got in. I accessed the admin page and defaulted the router. I then had the thought of trying to get in on my lappy. Wham bam thank you ma'am, it went right in.

Back to the desk rig and no joy still. Both systems have ESET anti virus and firewall. On the lappy it seemed to work fine with it running. On the desk rug I disabled it just to see if it was blocking it for some oddball reason.
Nope, no joy there either.

Got any ideas? Like maybe since I defaulted it from the lappy that's the only IP it's going to accept? Grrrr...

I'm sure you've been there, but what does it show in Network and sharing center??
