Default Limited or no connectivity

I've just installed a 'Micronet Wireless LAN USB adapter' - Model - SP907GK .. and wish to connect to my sky modem box. It picks it up alright, with excellent strength signal and connects fine, howeverI get the black exclamation mark in a yellow triangle icon upon the connection;

'You might not be able to access the internet or some network resources. This problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.'

There's 3 other wires being used to connect to the internet via the modem, but I wish to connect this one wireless. How can I solve this?

Sorry, I know nothing of these things.
Thanks.

Actually my bad. I went on to the server on IE 192... and copy and pasted the WEP key on there ..

Don't know how these things work, just explore within reason.
