Issues port forwarding with a TP Link router

Trying to port forward using THIS guide: Port Forwarding Flight Simulator 2004 on the TP-Link TD-W8951ND - PortForward.com

Anyway, filled in the ports, set local IP as 192.168.1.1 as that is the default gateway.

I click 'save' to save the settings, and nothing happens, literally, nothing, no loading, nothing.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Fail, I forgot to set static local IPs and was using the default gateway instead of the PC itself

You may find depending on your router a port forwarding utility (just makes the job bit easier)
