Default Internet problems

My computer seems to just lose connection when I start to watch videos/streams. I can do anything else like play games download torrents. It just cuts out when i'm trying to load some sort of video. I'm the only person in my house that is directly plugged into the router and everyone else is on wireless. This problem is only with my connection and it's only when i'm on the router and I tried switching to be directly into the modem and I can watch videos and streams no problem so i'm wondering if anyone could help me out with this.

I'm running Vista Home 64-bit with a AMD Phenom(tm) II X3 720 Processor and a Gigabyte MA77OT-UD3P Motherboard.

O ya I forgot to add that when I first got my computer I never had it this bad. At first my internet would only go down if I watched 1080P videos and now it's everything.
