Internet Problem

Im also having trouble with my internet connection everytime I try to connect to the internet it doesnt respond, I contacted a company to help me they did but later on I restored my computer the problem began again, I called again and didnt receive the same useful help from before. The agent told me it had something to do with a firewall, but I have not installed any Antivirus programs nor firewalls so I dont know how to resolve the problem....

Have you tried restarting both your computer and your router?

I tried it now that you mentioned it but still didnt work...
when I called the company for help the second time a agent told me to go to:
Start>Run>msconfig> click Selective Startup> uncheck Startup Load Items> click Services> check Hide All Microsoft Services> click Startup> Hide All or Show All (cant remember).

it didnt work the first time but I must of tried it eight times then some couple of hours later it worked. I tried it again and no luck

Have you tried plugging the cable into another port? The port you are using, and/or the router may be dying.
Possibly the NIC on your PC, if it's old.
