I'm having trouble getting online.
Few weeks ago I bought a new modem it's a Edimax wireless router, internet was fine when I was first using this modem. I've spoken to my isp and they say everything should be fine. I have pinged my ip address and sometimes I get a 'timeout', But 80% of the time I'm able to send and receive packets. I'm leaning towards thinking it may be my network adapter. It's not my computer, modem, phone line or any physical connection. I use this phone line 100% only for the internet....no phone. Sometimes I get online for seconds and then it drops out...this is rare though. Sometimes the internet symbol in my toolbar indicates that I am online, but looking at my model and my configuration screen it's not the case. My adsl light usually flickers....but sometimes it stays on consistently, The internet light is usually red if on at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Are you using it as a wireless router? or wired?

That router has built-in firewall functions. Try turning off Windows Firewall (including Advanced functions, then restart computer) and see if that helps.
