Default Internet on budget

I hate dial up modems, but cox cable costs 40-50 bucks a month! Whats the best way to go for someone on a budget? I dont even have a home phone line...

i would say the phone line connection with Pc Mechanix Networks, ($3.00 a month) Depending were you are at.

I agree that is the best internet connection you are going to get for under 40 bucks.

yeah, right now i pay 100 a month for satelite and at times i wished it was dialup (cant upload) etc.

cox also has a value tier which is $25 for 128kb down/128kb up. What state are you located in?

You said it but a phone line and dial up will cost as much as cable.
Decision time.Try this,
Get a phone line and a 3 month free AOL disk.
Format every 3 months and start over.
Now you can call your girlfriends too.

Does this suit your budget ?
If not leech on your buddies PC's.
Bring a dozen beer once and a while.

why not buy a wireless router, share broadband with a neighbor or 2 and split the cost?
