Default Ics

I am setting up ics and the one question that i would like to ask, because my brpadband is limited to 8 hours a day if both computers were using the internet for four hours would this count as 8 hours internet usage or just 4?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Umm they probably just count the time the modem is on. Not the amount of time a computer uses it. I'd say just 4.

Anyway what ISP limits you to 8 hours? Sounds like you need to switch providers.

No the 8hrs is fine what i mean is because the broadband is connected all the time but it only gets counted as usage when it sends or recieves data.

that means, if you have spywear running at night and it sends data back and forth while you're asleep, you lose all that bandwidth for the day. Sounds like a shitty deal to me. If you have a switch/ router I doubt it'd be 4 hours for 2 computers to be on at once.
