Default I need some echos.

For some reason, I can not successfully ping my own host with its own IP address. I tried to ping the same PC from a different PC,(on the same network) but only got the same response (request timed out). Iím using Xp home sp2. I have checked the windows firewall settings and I am allowing incoming echo requests. Please help me out on this one. Thank You.

Are you allowing outgoing ICMP requests as well?

it could be that the requests are alowed in, but not allowed out.
