I need an explanation!

Can someone explain to me how bandwidth usage works? Like receiving packets and such...how do you make bandwidth?

Questions asked here benefit more than just the person asking. Some one else may have the same question or simular. Asking and getting an answer at any computer forum not only gives a chance to have the info here for all to access, but also sparks some discussion. Some times just for the hell of it I ask a question I already know the answer to just to stir up some discussions.
Besides, if every one googled everything then what point would having a computer forum serve?
