Help Please :)

ok so my family recently purchased a new computer and i got the old one which connected to the internet via wifi adapter. since it is now mine i wiped the drives and its back to factory settings. but now i cant get on the internet because the adapters drive is gone. so i downloaded the drive off of linksys and i dont know what to do from there. im pretty new to computers so if you guys could help me out in the simplest ways id appreciate it. thanks and i hope this all makes sense

What operating system are you using?

You said you downloaded the drive off of linksys. Do you mean you downloaded the windows driver for your WIFI adapter from the Linksys website?

Did the Linksys website have instructions for installing the drivers?
