Default firewall question

In the picture above, is the PIX firewall a dhcp server?

What would the gateway be for the desktop computers and servers?

Can you eliminate the router and just connect the firewall directly to the internet/dsl modem? What is there to route when there is only one client connected to a router.

Well you have the router here because you are connecting to networks... the server and computer networks I believe... I'm assuming its DHCP since most should be. Then again don't quote me on this cause I am still learning all of this but from what I've learned thats what I think
