Ethernet question

I currently have only 1 ethernet card in my computer. I currently have my cable modem hooked up to this card. I want to buy a media center extender and hook it up to my computer via a cat5 cable. Is there some sort of device I can buy to allow me to hook up both the modem and extender to the same ethernet card in my computer? (hub?/switch?) Any other suggestions?

The best thing to do is get a second network card. You can get hubs to network pcs but not as an 'adapter' for two inputs
