Default DSL problem

i've been having some problems with my dsl,

I had it connected though ethernet and it started slowing down and dropping the connection,

so I put it through USB and well it at least lets me stay online but it's so so.
why won't it work through ethernet?

Check your network cable- try a different one.
Your NIC may be going bad.
Check your router settings- make sure it's set to "stay alive"
Have your DSL provider test your lines. Also find out how far you are away from the central office. All these could have an effect on your connection. Good news is, it can't be but one of these- not unless you have spyware/adware. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, I've seen some of your posts before.

There's not much to testing a network card. Either it works, or it doesn't. It may be intermittent.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the NIC.
