ok, so heres my problem, when i directly connect my computer to my modem, i get 14-15mb/s download speed. 1mb upload speed, so when i put my computer onto my router, and run the speed test, i get 5-7mb/s download, and 1mb upload. Ive searched around and tried a lot of other peoples solutions, but nothing works.
What ive tried.
Changing MTU Settings.
Re installed newest Firmware for router. (this isnt wireless either)
Rebooted Router (i knew this wouldnt work for crap lol)
Repleaced cat5 cable
Ive tried multipul speed test websites
Speakeasy
Speedtest.net
CNET Speed Test
My ISP Speed test (RoadRunner)
All Report around the same speeds when i plug my computer into my router.
Now at first i thought that it was just becuase maybe someone was doing some file sharing or somthing on another computer hooked up to my router, so i disconnected all the computers but mine, so i ran 1 computer to the router, and still same issue.

Win XP Prof.
4gbs of ram
3.0 AMD Athlon
blazing fast computer. that cannot be the issue.
Also, i have this problem on all of the computers i have hooked upto my router, not just 1.
Please, if anyone has anything that might work, pelase respond, this is annoying that i have to pay so much for such a fast speed, and i cannot utilize it.
