Default download interruptions

My computer seems to download files small amounts of MB at a time, then it stops and says either that there was an error, it failed, or some stupid stuff like that. however, when i restart the download, it resumes from where it was and just downloads another few MB and stops again. This occurs both with regular downloads and inside of installers. thoughts?

Is this just on your computer, or every computer on your network?

What browser are you using or are you getting the files off a network drive?

I would definitely either try downloading using a different browser.. or Un install and reinstall your current browser.

You could try to see if you can download the update/patches manually.

Then he'll run into the issues while doing it manually.

Murray, have you tried disabling any anti-virus and/or firewall while downloading? On that same idea, when's the last time you scanned for some kind of infection?

Being that more than just the browser are getting the same problem, it's safe to say that the web browser isn't the issue.

As celegorm said, try doing a virus scan then disabling the firewall and antivirus.
