Hi, I just bought a New HP DV-7 PC. It has a Windows Vista Home 64 bit operating system, and connection problems. I notice that when I first turn my computer on, i have to go to control panel>Network and Sharing Center>Manage Network Connections>Disable This Network Device. and then Enable this network device back on again in order for my internet connection to work. Then 5 minutes later I have to do the same process all over again when the connection drops. I have a Linksys WRT54G Router, which has no problems on my other laptop running Windows XP home. Do I have a faulty Networking Device ? Or is this a Vista fault? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You all.

I have had this issue on 3 of my laptops that have vista the other 2 have xp. It's not the router I have a WRT54G and a Netgear rangemax and regardless of which AP they connect to I still have problems. I fixed it with a driver update though as vista wouldn't let me disable the card.....

It's on HP's website. If you gave us your model number we could help you more.
