Question Cookie passwords

I was on kat.ph and I was going to login to my e-mail and I had a wild idea.

Do these fishy bittorrent site cookies "steal" passwords?

I hope that the world runs out of oil today so we can build a world free of hate and greed and money. Build one based on love and respect for all forms of life.

I doubt it, unless the file itself you are downloading is loaded with malware. Just make sure you have an updated, working antivirus/malware.

The question of can they? yes. The question of do they? Depends on the site.

If a certain website makes you uneasy, don't use it =P
