I want to connect my new laptop to my desktop pc. My laptop has a .g standard wireless card built in and it can see my desktop's transceiver. However, my desktop's .b transceiver cannot see my laptop. Any ideas?

Erm, I don't think there is a way for the A.B to see the .g because that is too old basically. What I would recommend is just to buy a A.G reciever for the Desktop. Or cheaper probably would be to try and find an A.B for the Laptop; but its likely you wouldn't be able to find it.

yah. but if you plan to use .A get a multiband router too... if you have lots of 2.4 GHz devices. Cell phones wont be hurt by wi-fi so dont worry bout that. GSM and CDMA operate at around 850-1900Mhz....
