I setup my home network in about 1991 or so. It has pretty much worked continuously since then. I've added and removed computers and other devices over the years, changed ISPs, changed routers and modems, moved residences, etc... My network continues to function. Your network may be a PITA but mine isn't and there's no reason to think the OP's network will be.
