Connecting to a BTrieve Database...

At work, we have a DBA who is holding a database system hostage. We need to retrieve data from this system. the LAN administrator will be granting me full read/write access. The only problem is, this database system is an old BTrieve 4.3 database system.

Does anybody know if there is software out there that my company can purchase that will not only allow me to connect to this database server, but have the ability to view and extract the needed data???

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...

at work we use Seagate Crystal Reports to view and export information from the BTrieve database that our software system uses here. is that the sort of thing you're after? I'm not too sure where you'd find it, but i'm sure you should get some luck if you google.
