Is it possible for two laptops to share, with a split USB cable, one wifi booster such as the RTL8187.

You can connect 2 laptops in an ad hoc network configuration using a crossover ethernet cable. You can also connect them ad hoc wirelessly. If one is connected to the internet, then it could act as a server to the other (using Windows internet sharing).
Might help if we knew the particulars of what you aim to accomplish.

Thank you for your reply. I have two lap tops running windows 7 home premium. I connect to the internet wirelessly using ,--http://www.faculty-x.net/su2410-usb.htm,-- a long range usb wifi aerial. I want to then connect a second laptop.
We use this mainly when travelling in our motorhome. |
