Catalyst 2960

Hello everyone out there. I am new to this forum. I just have a question for someone who can answer this.

My step UP I have a Dell Optiplex 745 desktop and a Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch. I'm using an console cable to hook up to it.

My Issue I have a bad cisco catalyst 2960 switch I do believe it is an IOS issue. I would like to grab my IOS image off of the good switch and place it in the bad one to see if that works

Do the backup steps on the good switch and the upgrade steps on the bad switch.

The IOS usually found in Flash Memory. If you have the IOS image on your laptop then you can use x-modem to download it to the bad 2960
