Default CAT5e crossover network settings

hi, i have recently got a CAT5e crossover cable to connect the broad-band enabled pc to my non-internet laptop.
i have connected the two and had an attempt at trying to set up a network.
i can now get the internet o my laptop which is very good, but i also want to know how to transfer files. could somene please help me, many thanks

wow i discovered something
if you get 2 msn accounts on both of the computers and link the two of them with a crossover cable, data transfer is amazingly quick! i dont know if this is because they are connected or because they both have 2.3 mbps broadband, but you wuill have to give this a try!

you can connect them both with 1 cable and file share at the limit of your card and network cable. You dont have to go the msn route, just create a workgroup and turn on file sharing.

also if you want to share the internet you will have to use ICS.
