DD-WRT is awesome you just need to read up on how to correctly configure it as it is a bit more advanced then your normal firmware. I run DD-WRT it took some getting used to I had a few problem as well untill I took time to actually learn the firmware now everything works great and much better than before.

Oh i've used it before, and as part of this entire thread I played with all of it's settings. Like I said, it must have just been a bad build in that respect.
