Hope this is the right forum to post this in.
I have a school lab and the students save their stuff on the teacher computer(a win 98 machine). We've had 98 student machines, but recently the student machines were replaced by XP machines.
Everything was good with the 98 machines, but now with XP, the students can't save Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. over the network.
They CAN save Paint, Fireworks, AutoCadd, etc., with no problem.
I've tried putting a password on the folder they save in
I've tried NO password where they save.
I've tried requiring them to log in with a password on the XP machines
I've tried NO password where they log in.
I've tried a whole bunch of stuff, experimenting with permissions (I really don't understand permissions) etc., etc.
Has anyone had experience with this problem?
