Default Best Public DNS Server

So I am just wondering which public DNS Server is the best. I've used Google and its not bad and so is OpenDNS. So for the members that use an alternative DNS server over their ISP's what do you recommend?

I haven't really used OpenDNS a lot but when I have it isn't bad nor is Google's either.

I use Google because the ip address is easy to remember. I set it as an alternate DNS server in case my home server goes down.

Everyone will get dramatically different performance depending on location, ISP and other factors - try out this benchmark utility for some insightful results: https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm
