Default Bandwidth decrease in IE?

I'm completely new to this wireless thing, but whenever I open up IE and search for a page, the bandwidth drops all the way down to 11Mbps .. is this because of congestion? .. what can I do to prevent this decrease? Or is it normal?

Thanks.

i wouldnt really worry about it tbh. as long as the internet works fine then its all good.
if you do a lot of network file sharing or w/e and it does this then i may start to worry.
