Atheros Wireless card

I Have just installed XP on my laptop,know for some reasons my wifi card (Athero 5007eg) is acting up!

I get a ballon hover over the wireless network icon saying 'One or more wireless networks have been detected',Yet when i go to scan for wireless networks,Nothing comes up!

My Wireless network is in mixed b/g mode,with WEP Security.

have you installed the proper drivers, and not some crappy ms ones?
i had that problem before. try entering your connection settings manually in the wireless network setup bit, and see if it connects. mine used to work fine that way but never showed any networks. i think i installed xp pro and then it worked, havent looked back since
