yea its not too bad advice for someone who is a n00b cuz they cant program

i have mcafee firewall which came with my laptop but i dont use it i always use zonealarm on both pcs as it just does what it suposed to without all the rubbish what some other software packages come with.
but i must admit if i cant logon to net i have to shutdown firewall while i logon sometimes.

ZoneAlarm is good.
You'll find the internet has stopped working because you have savbed the changes probably to stop the connection when it asks. This can be put back though. Right cick the task bar menu and go to 'Restore the Centre', now go to the 'program control 'tab on the left, and the one at the top select 'Programs'a dn the program which you use to connect, click on the first two acces and select 'allow'
