Default are you able to change processor socket

the title is basically the body can i change the socket
i have a amd sempron 3300+
i am getting a mobo that is an am2 socket
it says it is able to us a sempron but i am not sure

naw you are going to have to upgrade the the am2, the one it supports is the am2 version only

no, the sempron uses a socket 754 and the am2 socket has 940 pins so they are incompatible

u could just get this to start. until u can upgrade
i'll edit later and give u a newegg link. but it wont load for some reason
