Yonah Cores out?

Actually 65nm chips means a lower cost. It's less silicon being used, so the price drops for the product to be made and then sold. So because it's 65nm doesn't necessarily make it more expensive, but rather cheaper, which is why the new Intel Pentium D 9xx processors are considerably cheaper then their older Pentium D counterparts. :)

And the core duo is insane, but I much rather have an X2 then a core duo! :D

But so the those Duo's are for only mobile. So when are they comming out for pc?

I think the Core Duo isn't going to come out being targeted for PCs. It's mainly a laptop CPU, somethign to compete against the Turion64. It's just a back-and-forth relationship in the notebook world. Intel dominates with it's Pentium M CPU, then AMD releases it's 64-bit notebook CPU, then Intel launches it's dual-core notebook CPU...see where this is going?

Anywho, although the Core Duo is in Socket 478, I DO NOT suggest you purchase it. It's a notebook CPU, not a desktop CPU. Although it may fit your old motherboard, I don't suggest that you purcahse it, instead, get a Pentium IV processor in Socket 478. :)

It says Socket 478, but its a different pin layout, in other words, it wont fit your Socket 478 motherboard. Keep in mind that people have put Pentium M's in desktops. Quite surprising results. Fastest Super Pi times, beats out a AMD 64FX in 3DMark01. Interesting results i must say.
