Yonah Cores out?

Looks like the Yonah cores are out, and for sale. Didnt really look into this at all. But will someone tell me, why these intels are running so slow, (operating freqency) but cost so much. Or do these work like an Amd, with more processes per clock type of thing?

They're mobile processors. They work pretty efficiently and consume way less power than desktop processors.

I noticed this yesterday as well. The Yonah core is a mobile core, at least for the time being. It uses the socket 478 because laptops I belive can't equip the socket T yet, although i could be greatly mistaken, if so, please inform me.

The reason, or rather 'proof' that it's a mobile processor is from the lower frequency, which means less power consumption. With lap tops power = heat, and well heat = bad. So this is one explanation for the slower frequency. But they do seem a tad bit over priced for a Socket 478 mobile CPU.

Yes they are a mobile CPU. Although Apple uses them in their iMacs which is kind of a laptop and desktop lol.
