Yet another Laptop problem

Right since I got my Laptop in October, i've had it sent for repair twice. First time because of a problem with the screen, the second was a problem which turned out to be the Motherboard.

They only repaired the second problem a few weeks ago, they said they had replaced the Motherboard. But since I got it back, it just keeps freezing. I could be doing anything and it'll just freeze completely. Even the mouse wont move. I sometimes freezes during start up!! When windows hasn't even loaded up.

All the drivers that came with it have been reinstalled on it, so I have no idea why it's doing this. Could anyone suggest something I could try to fix this?

Thanks in advance

It's an ACER 1690

Intel Pentium M 715 Processor
1.5 GHZ
512 ram
ATI Mobility Radeon X700
60 GB HDD

running Windows XP

No, not as good. But, damn near close.

Anyways.. can I ask how full your hard drive is?

are the mobility radeon x700 as good as the normal radeon x700?

I have no idea. I've never used the normal one. But the mobile one runs all my games just fine.

It's practically empty at the moment, just a fresh install of windows
