Default xp question

hey. if i was to put in 512Mb of ram on top of the 128Mb i already have. how much faster will that make may computer. keeping in mind it is running on 40G and 1.3Ghz processor.

well, hopefully your comp can support that! but yeah, the difference would be huge! you notice it right away. its seems to me that is quite old, as in 2-4 years old. of course it should work, the new ram that is. but yeah, i install 512 mb more on my desktop to complete 1g and damn... so much of a differnece...

before you buy....
Make sure that your motherboard will support it. It may only take the 512 and not the 128 or it may take as
2x256 and not a single stick.
The point is that when it comes to ram it is solely dependant on your mobo specs. Also It may not work with all brands of ram so try to get the same brand that is already in there.

Yeah, you would notice a big boost. Even 256mb to 512mb gives you a small boost that i noticed.
