Default XP Installation problems

I have deleted my old partition and created a new one and reinstalled xp on it. It then re starts my PC and takes me into a screen which sets up my new windows. It asks me to agree the terms and conditions which I do and then I am told installation will be complete in 39 minutes. Unfortunatley after 3 minutes my VDU goes into power save mode and nothing else happens ? Does anyone have any ideas ?

Go into you bios and in the pwer management area make sure that everything is set to never turn off. HD's monitor and such. Also make sure sleep is disabled.

If not you will have to sit there and bump the mouse every minute until it gets through with the installation.
