Default Xmas Amd Or Intel :S

Heya I have a AMD athlon 64 3500+ Cpu chip I was woundering for my xmas to ask my mum for a convert from AMD to Intel because I have seen some of the new stuff they have bought out but I do favour AMD alot so I just wanted some advice...

Intel's Core 2 Duo kicks AMDs AM2 processor's ass right now, i'd definitely suggest switching to intel. you'll be glad you did.

With the added price of switching motherboards, I would recomend against switch to a different socket or vendor.

A good motherboard is an easy $150
