Can you install one xeon processor on a dual xeon mainboard ?

What do you want to do with it? Why do you want a dual motherboard with only on processor?

He He. Usualy they don't have the money to go out and buy two Xeons at once so they buy 1 to start off with and then upgrade a little later on.
