I'm trying to connect wirelessly to xbox live and i keep getting an "IP Address failed" when I test it out. When I connect the 360 directly to the modem, I am able to access xbox live; it's just when i try to connect wirelessly is when i have problems. I have a Linkysys BEFW11S4 ver 4 router. I tried power cycling it and it didn't work. I was told to do a "MAC filtering" or open up some ports so that my 360 can have access to the wireless connection, but i have no idea how to do any of that. I don't even have a clue in how to access the menu to control all the settings of my router. help please.

k i have a wireless thingy for my 360 and heres one problem i had
If ur connection disconects alot then plug it in the front and it helps

Also u could try putting the IP address in manually
Just go to the computer that the Modem/router/Gateway is on and go to start and click run>type CMD>and in the lil black window type ipconfig/all or ipconfig and hit enter and it will tell u wat ur IP address is

Alright to forward the ports, you put your IP address in the url bar, then it will prompt you for your username and password. By default the username is blank and the password is "admin".

Good guides here: http://www.portforward.com
