Default X64 slower?

I built a new computer and bought the 64-bit version of Vista with it. heres my system: E6600 Oc'd to 3.2 GHZ
8800 GTX
WD SATA 250GBx2 in RAID0
Antec 900 case
Zalman 9700
I just cant help to think if my system would run faster with the 32-bit edition. My games run fine but they are older games like BF2 and such. And some programs lag like crazy like Fliht Simulator X. Am i really missing out? or not missing much at all? BTW im planning on getting 4Gb of RAM.

you wont be able to use all 4gb of ram with a 32 bit OS so 64 bit is supposed to be faster but its not really the same. i think it might lower your CPU temps but i dont think it will as i see yours is cool enough
