Hey, I'm buying the ASUS Rampage Formula Mobo:

I'm also interested in the X3350 over the Q9450, as it can attain high clock speeds at lower voltages and tolerate more heat. I'm pretty sure it will work, even though it's not officially support by the board (read quite a few posts) and as it's nearly identical to the Q9450. However, I also read that for it to work, you need to update your BIOS...

How do I update my BIOS if my CPU isn't working???

If the board doesn't ship with the required BIOS, you will need a supported chip to flash it.

Only one guy told me this....I mean- it supports all quads officially, so it must support the X3350 as well. I don't really think it will be a problem. Also, what kind of chip would I use :S? Last time I flashed, it was with a floppy.
