X1600XT vs. 7800GS

Well, doesn't the X1600 have an AGP option too... That's why I said that, because if he's talking about AGP, there's no reason to bring up PCI-Express and its capabilities.

CrossFire is purely for bragging rights, so you don't need it. The 7800 GS is overrated. Yes, it supports Shader Model 3.0 and a bunch of other technologies, however for it's price ($300?) it's not worth it. The X850 XT PE performs more or less as well as the 7800 GS and it's cheaper.

Conclusion:

7800GS OVER-RATED!

X850XT PE THE BETTER BUY!
The 7800 GS has the new technology tho SM 3.0 and open gl 2.0 however the X850XT PE outperforms it and its cheaper

Yeah, that's what I said. Read what I posted. The X850XT PE doesn't outperform the 7800 GS completely, but it comes close here and there.

The X850XT PE has the same technolgies. Though the 7800GS may get barely any more frames a second then the X850XT PE. It's not about that, it's about what kind of quality the picture is in.

Any card can push 100+ FPS, can you you display 100+ FPS with all the eyecandy unlocked? That's what it comes down to. If you want the ultimate in AGP interface, the X850XT Platinum Edition is King. :D

Actually, the X850XT PE doesn't support Shader Model 3.0, only Shader Model 2.0.
