I would say amd, even though i am a fanboy of intel. I have heard great things about amd cpu's, i haven't tried one out but i plan too soon.

I was thinking about it, i only have 700 now or i'd have to wait a little bit more so i can get more money.


about how much can you build a descent gaming computer for?

It's MUCH cheaper than buying a prebuilt. Much.

Do you want something amazing for gaming (hardcore) or are you just a casual gamer?

$700 is very doable, but if you want something truly hardcore you'd need probably $1000. But, you can get one heck of a computer for $700!
