Worth getting the 9800?

I was thinking about getting two of the EVGA 9800 gx2 video cards. Is there anyword or rumors of how soon the next gen of video cards nvidia is coming out with? Cause I don't want to spend that money and have them come out with a new one a month later or so.

But everyone is saying that some new versions of cards are coming out (like the gtx 260) so card price drops are coming soon

But it still more than holds it's own against the GTX 280. In fact, the only card that is convincingly faster than the GX2 is the HD 4870 X2.
