im considering getting one
here lately ive been doing alot of work in Google SketchUp and i dont see myself slowing down any
also i would like to start doing some rendering
so would a workstation card be better for that purpose then a standard GPU?
we can get in to the details later
and what i should look for in one as well
any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Yes, a workstation GPU performs better than a "regular" GPU when it comes to rendering, modeling, etc. I recommend you take a look at the nVidia QuadroFX series. They have great CUDA support.

okay
now that has been cleared up
im about to install a GTX275, and i will still use my 2nd 8800GT (for my 2nd monitor and a PhysX card for gaming [why not])
and this is my mobo
so im left with a PCI Express x16 (x4 or x1 mode) to use
so i was doing a little bit of browsing on newegg.com
and i really dont want to spend 1600 on a workstation card
do you think with my GTX275 that i should even bother with getting a workstation card?
or would a workstation card at x4 or even a x1 perform better for drawing in SU or even making renders?
i was looking at 2 different ones
FirePro V4800
FirePro 2450
and as Joga mentioned to take a looks at the quadro series (i see the FX)
there is a small catch it needs to be a single expansion slot or a low profile bracket
and i really dont want to spend alot of $ im just looking for a card to get me stared
it wont take alot of abuse.............. i dont think
so here are some nvidia choices
Quadro NVS 290
Quadro FX 570
thanks for the help btw :D
