Default Word 2000 Header Footer errors

Hi,

I'm using Word 2000 and eveytime i enter my documents page #'s in the footer or header area, i get this when i print out.....

{NUMPAGES} and {PAGE}

It seems like its printing out the variable not the actual value for the document info.

FYI i have installed all the lastest security patches and updates for both office and xp.

Please help,

B

Thats interesting.. Never heard of that..

Trying running the Word 2000 or office 2000 setup again. It will pop up a box asking you to "repair" Modify or Uninstall.

Try to repair the installation, and see if it happens still.. If not my next course would be uninstall word 2000 and reinstall..

If you still have the problem I would look into your printer drivers.

F9 changes from code view (the way word 'sees' the base code) to actual display.
In other words, it will change from {NUMPAGES} and {PAGE} to 1/2/3...
And if it don't work, you can try ctrl+F9 or Alt+F9.
