WMP 11 Error

Whenever I try to open Windows Media Player 11 I get an error. Here's a picture of the error below.



I have tried a few times to reinstall the program, but it didn't help. Also, I'm running on Windows Media Center 2005 Edition.

If anyone can help me fix this error I will appreciate it!

Can you download the setup file again.

Yes I have done this many times. Everytime I do it I come up with the same result. And I can't even rollback to WMP 10 now it won't let me.

This might help ya, its referring to WMP10, but its worth a go. And dont forget that WMP11 is still beta so problems are to be expected.

Didn't work. That file is already in my SYSTEM32 folder.

I tried all that. It doesn't work. I remember when I had this problem with my desktop computer there was a command I ran in the "run" on the start menu and fixed the problem. I forget what the command was though.

possibly sfc /scannow. Does that sound familiar?

I don't think so since it's asking me for my installation CD which it never asked for before on my desktop computer. And since I'm not home I can't use the CDs.
